History of Bank of Bird-in-Hand

Bank of Bird-in-Hand is a Pennsylvania state-chartered stock savings bank headquartered in Bird-in-Hand, Pennsylvania, which opened in December 2013.

The Bank, upon its opening, was the first bank to gain a charter in the United States since 2010 and remains the only bank in PA to open since 2008.

The Bank maintains its main office at 309 N Ronks Road in Bird-in-Hand along with locations in Intercourse and Paradise, as well as three mobile branches that service Lancaster and Chester Counties.

The Bank continues to serve the Lancaster and Chester county markets based upon the mission statement which states that Bank of Bird-in-Hand will “provide quality banking services with integrity in the markets we serve.”
