General Responsibilities:

The teller/customer service representative receives and pays out money, as well as accurately keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in a financial institution’s various transactions. The teller/customer service representative meets the needs of customers by providing quality service.  The position is responsible for opening new accounts and responding to customer questions concerning both existing accounts and new accounts.  Previous banking experience required. work approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, as needed. Applicant must be able to work Saturday mornings.

                                                      Job Title:         Lead Teller

                                                      Reports To:      Assistant Branch Manager

General Responsibilities:

The Lead Teller provides quality customer service to the public. The position will also directly supervise and coordinate the activities of tellers engaged in receiving and paying transactions in the Bank. Other responsibilities would include maintaining and controlling vault cash, providing training for entry-level tellers. The Lead Teller would also be responsible to report pertinent information to their immediate supervisor, respond to inquiries or requests for information and adhere to all internal policies, procedures and practices of the bank. Other responsibilities would include maintaining internal controls, adherence to information security policies and assisting in creating referrals for the branch.

                                                      Job Title:         Customer Service Representative

                                                      Reports To:      Branch Manager

General Responsibilities:

The Customer Service Representatives respond to customer inquiries via telephone and face-to-face meetings. Listed below are the responsibilities for the position:
1. Assist customers with routine account-related requests such as: funds transfers, automatic funds transfers (AFTs), stop payments, inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges, inquiries about ATM and debit card usage and limits, inquiries about checking and savings accounts transactions, inquiries about funds availability, and check verification requests by third parties.
2. Research and resolve customer problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments when necessary.
3. Research customer questions regarding electronic funds transfers and initiate “Reg E” disputes when appropriate, including the completion of all necessary documents and affidavits.
4. Cross-sell bank products and services based on customer needs in accordance with the banks’ program standards.
5. Relate customer requests for service charge rebates to the assistant vice president and vice president of operations.
6. Process necessary paperwork to rebate customer service charges.
7. Verify information on ATM/debit card applications to the information in customer database. Send exceptions to personal banking counselors for corrections.
8. Update the system with messages regarding ATM/debit cards and service charge rebates.
9. Balance customer checkbooks.
10. Perform customer requested research, including printing statement and check copies.
11. Input, maintain and/ or delete ATM and debit cards within system.
12. Transfer funds to cover customer overdrafts as directed by bank operations.
13. Notify the research and adjustment coordinator of required adjustments as reported by customers.
14. Contact customers to notify them that check orders and/or debit cards are ready to pick up at the bank.
15. Distribute to customers and properly log all “hold statements” and check orders held by the bank.
16. Escort appropriate bank personnel into the vault and maintain dual control for safekeeping access and official check and ATM card requisition.
17. Open, set timers and close the safe deposit vault utilizing dual control.
18. Contact customers to obtain necessary signatures on items with missing or irregular signatures.
19. Perform teller duties as needed.
